Sidney Flax

Sidney has over 35 years experience in the optical field! He completed his ophthalmic training at Technikon, Witwaterst in South Africa. Upon completion of his studies, he worked in the optical dispensary of three eye surgeons in Pretoria, South Africa before immigrating to Canada in 1988. Sidney continued to work in the optical field and joined the Eye Associates of Don Mills in early 1998. Sidney is a frame and lens specialist with the Eye Associates of Don Mills and his areas of specialization include progressive lenses (invisible/no line bifocals), specialty computer glasses, and high index lenses.

Denisa Muca

Denisa works at the Eye Associates of Don Mills on a part-time basis. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto. She is currently completing her bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences at The Michener Institute in the field of Nuclear Medicine. She assists with administrative functions and helps with pre-testing.

Samantha Dascine

Office Manager/Ophthalmic Assistant

As an International Business student at York University, and post-secondary studies as a Laboratory Technologist at Seneca College, Samantha has concentrated her efforts in creating a career in management in the optical industry. She has combined her educational background with her commitment to excellent customer service to create an environment where, the highest standard of eye care is provided.

She has over 13 years of professional management experience working in the optical industry for various industry-leading companies. Her humble beginnings were working as a lab technician for Lens Crafters, before moving to Shorney’s Optical as a frame and lens consultant.

Samantha has worked as the Office Manager for Eye Associates Of Don Mills since 2004, where she has been instrumental in providing administrative support as well as overseeing the smooth operation of the practice. Aside from her role as a frame and lens specialist, she manages the day to day operations of our practice.

Her areas of interest include contact lenses, progressive lenses (invisible bifocals), and pediatric spectacle dispensing.

Fereshte Sajed

Fereshte Sajed has been a proud member of the Eye Associate of Don Mills since 2008.

Fereshte is a certified ophthalmic, and optometric assistant with over 17 years of related field experience. She has worked in Toronto with ophthalmologists specializing in glaucoma, cornea, and cataract surgery. Her responsibilities at Eye Associate of Don Mills include pre-testing, and preparation of patient for examination (history taking, visual acuity test and etc.). She is fully bilingual in English, and Farsi.
