Nafisha Virji Nafisha (pictured standing second from
right) is the office manager and an ophthalmic assistant with the Don Mills Optometric Clinic. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo and her ophthalmic assistant
training at Seneca College in Toronto. She has over twelve years experience in the optical field; ten of which have been with the Don Mills Optometric Clinic. Aside from her role as a frame and lens
specialist, she manages the day to day operations of our practice. Her areas of interest include contact lenses, progressive lenses (invisible bifocals), and pediatric spectacle dispensing.
Sidney Flax
Sidney (pictured top right) has over 32 years experience in the optical field! He completed his ophthalmic training at Technikon, Witwaterst in South Africa.
Upon completion of his studies, he worked in the optical dispensary of three eye surgeons in Pretoria, South Africa before immigrating to Canada in 1988.
Sidney continued to work in the optical field and joined the Don Mills Optometric Clinic in early 1998. Sidney is a frame and lens specialist with the Don Mills Optometric Clinic
and his areas of specialization include progressive lenses (invisible/no line bifocals), specialty computer glasses, and high index lenses. Melissa Dudley
Melissa (pictured top second from left) joined Don Mills Optometric Clinic in the summer of 1999 after having worked with prominent ophthalmogists in the
area of refractive and cataract surgery. She is responsible for pre-testing and manages the reception area. Sandra Perri Sandra (pictured top left) works at the Don Mills Optometric Clinic on a
part-time basis; full time, she is an honor student majoring in psychology at York University. She assists with administrative functions and as a laser vision correction co-ordinator. |
